People Matching Artworks deserves some kind of award for its combination of originality, execution, stamina, and unimaginable patience. He generally averages one or two photos a day and the results range from stunning to truly mind-blowing. He’s been at it at least since 2017.
(I can’t seem to embed Tumblr posts here but I’ll post the photos and link them to the posts.)

The second site I wanted to share has received some major news coverage so you may be familiar with it already. It’s called Art But Make It Sports, and he takes sports photos and matches them up with artworks that they resemble in some way. He doesn’t use AI or anything like that—he’s just a big art lover and sports fan, and uses his encyclopedic knowledge of art to find the matches.
Both of these are marvelous endeavors that encourage us to see art, and the world around us, in a slightly new way. People like this make me deeply grateful for the Internet.
The Crucifixion one is uncanny.
